Nethra Shankar

I care deeply about designing sustainable and inclusive solutions to problems. I believe that effective and impactful design starts with empathizing with the user and asking the right questions, which are some of the many reasons I am passionate about design research and user experience design. I feel it is my responsibility as a designer to not only design solutions that are user-centered, but also planet-centered.

In my free time I enjoy sketching portraits and practicing hand balancing skills.

Given that the average grocery store carries over 40,000 SKUs, making informed food choices is inconvenient, time-consuming and involves uncertainty. Through providing an in-store shopping experience that makes it convenient to compare products at the point of choice, consumers can choose with confidence and certainty. SLAB is a proprietary user-interface that paves the path towards informed food choices and inspires a more transparent food system.
